About Me

My name is Josh, and I am currently a sophomore at the University of Southern California. My concentration of study is Aerospace Engineering, and Computer Science. To help pay for school, I work at Illumin, an online Magazine that discusses engineering from USC's Viterbi School of Engineering. In my free time I enjoy learning about Jesus Christ, tossing around a Frisbee with friends, playing the guitar, and sometimes, building this website. This semester, I also joined the Spirit of Troy, USC's Marching Band. You can learn more about my education, and job experience by viewing my resume:

The Website

Well, first, I would like to explain a common misconception about the name of this website. The letters 'jav' in JAV Concepts, are actually my intials - most people don't catch on. With that said, this website is simply a place where I can explore designing and coding a website. The site is entirely hand-coded by myself, with the exception of Lightbox and CodePress implementations. Over the past couple years, I have developed a framework that is currently being using in many of my sites. As of January 2008, the site is in it's third iteration. JAV Concepts is hosted on a Fedora box at my home in Pennsylvania. Other technologies that this website uses include PHP, MySQL, and Apache.
